I have a Intel HD 530 graphics board with 2 VGA monitors connected. I have used in both HDMI-VGA adaptors. The problem is that when first start in the morning only the primary monitor starts. The second starts when i unplug and then plug. And works with no problem until the next night stop.

HI @Aditacelmaitare,

Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums After reading your post I see that you require assistance regarding the dual monitor setup that does not work at first boot and you need to unplug and replug the monitor and then it works. It will be a delight to assist you here.:)

Superb analysis and brilliant diagnosis of the issue before posting. 🙂 Kudos to you on that score. 🙂

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:

Did this happen after e recent software or windows update?

  • Maybe after a driver update?
  • Did you swap the monitors and check if the issue gets resolved?

For now please perform these steps:

Please perform a hard reset on the computer from this link: http://hp.care/2toTU35   and check if the issue gets resolved.

Perform a hard reset on the monitors also.

  • Disconnect the monitor’s power cord and the cable from the computer.
  • Please press and hold the power button of the computer for about 20 seconds to discharge static electrical charges.
  • Reconnect the power cord and check if the monitor goes blank or flickers without connecting it to the computer.

Then check if the issue gets fixed. If it still continued, then please try these steps:

  • Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand display adapters>then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers.
  • Check the box that states delete the software for this device.
  • Then restart the computer and update the bios chipset and graphic drivers from this link: http://hp.care/2syreDe  please select the country and type the product# of the computer
  • . Then follow the on-screen instructions to update it. Ensure that the correct operating system is selected.
  • This should do the trick for you.

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat. 🙂

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thanks for your reply. After I have post the message while the two monitors were working, I have created a new profile, save it and since then no more problems. I am not sure if it solved the malfunction, but it solved the problem. And now I don't have time to investigate more, maybe in autumn. And you were correct: it all started after a major windows 10 64b update.
