Dual monitor

I ordered 2 monitors and a mini desktop (the monitors came in today but the mini desktop has an estimated delivery for not until another month). Both monitors are the same and they have 1 HDMI, 1displayport, and 1 VGA port (the monitors came with HDMI and DisplayPort cables but not a VGA one, I’m not sure what will be coming with the mini desktop). How do I set them up as dual monitors? Also, do I need to plug in the power cord to both or just 1?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know how to connect two monitors to your mini desktop.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order to give you an accurate solution I will need the product number of your computer. However, if you are planning to connect two monitors to your computer then you need to make sure that there are two display ports available on the computer (Like VGA and HDMI), or else you need to use a docking station supported by your computer.

the desktop is: Product #6GE68AV_1, HP ProDesk 400 G5
