Hi @Sean171,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've already taken some good troubleshooting steps. The flashing on and off could be due to a few different factors.
- Faulty HDMI port: It's possible that the HDMI port on your PC or on the monitor is faulty. Try using a different port if available, or testing the monitor with another device to see if the issue persists.
- Power management settings: Sometimes, power management settings can interfere with the HDMI connection. Check your computer's power settings and ensure that the display isn't set to turn off or sleep too quickly.
- Graphics card settings: Your graphics card settings could be causing the issue. Try adjusting the display settings in your graphics card control panel, such as resolution and refresh rate, to see if that helps.
- Compatibility issues: There could be compatibility issues between your PC and the monitor. Make sure that the HDMI cable and the monitor are compatible with your PC's graphics card and that they support the same resolutions and refresh rates.
- Electrical interference: Electrical interference from nearby devices could also cause flickering. Try moving your PC and monitor away from other electronic devices to see if that helps.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
