Hello, I am using an HP all-in-ine large monitor and when I visit a specific website the fonts are showing too thin ans I can barely see the website dashboard. I thought it was a Chrome browser issue, perhaps an extension, but I don't think that's the problem since the website ffonts show normal on my laptop Chrome. I tried doing some font display troubleshooting for the computer but that hasn't helpef either. Could you kindly help solve th is problem?

Hi @mirellemt,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Certainly! Let's go through a few steps to try to resolve the issue with the thin fonts on your HP Pavilion All-In-One - 27.
Check Display Settings
Resolution and Scaling:
- Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings".
- Ensure the resolution is set to the recommended value.
- Check the scaling settings. Sometimes a higher or lower scaling can affect font rendering. Try setting it to 100% if it's not already.
Clear Browser Cache and Disable Extensions
Clear Cache:
- Open Chrome.
- Click the three dots in the top right corner, go to "More tools", and then "Clear browsing data".
- Clear cache and cookies.
Disable Extensions:
- Type chrome://extensions/ in the address bar.
- Disable all extensions and see if the issue persists.
Adjust Font Settings in Chrome
Chrome Font Settings:
- Go to Chrome settings by clicking the three dots in the top right corner and selecting "Settings".
- Scroll down to "Appearance" and click on "Customize fonts".
- Adjust the font size and font type to see if that helps.
Use the ClearType Text Tuner
ClearType Tuner:
- Type "ClearType" in the Windows search bar and select "Adjust ClearType text".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to tune the text for better readability.
Check Graphics Driver
Update Graphics Driver:
- Right-click on the Start menu and select "Device Manager".
- Expand "Display adapters", right-click on your graphics card, and select "Update driver".
- Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software".
Browser Hardware Acceleration
Disable Hardware Acceleration:
- In Chrome, go to "Settings".
- Scroll down and click on "Advanced" to expand more settings.
- Under "System", toggle off "Use hardware acceleration when available".
Inspect the Website's CSS (For Advanced Users)
Inspect Element:
- Right-click on the problematic website and select "Inspect".
- In the developer tools, check the CSS for font settings that might be causing the issue.
- Look for font-weight and font-family properties that might be too light or not rendering correctly on your monitor.
Reset Chrome Settings
Reset Chrome:
- Go to Chrome settings.
- Scroll down to "Advanced".
- At the bottom, click on "Restore settings to their original defaults".
Use a Different Browser
Try Another Browser:
- Install and try accessing the website with a different browser like Firefox or Edge to see if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
