Hi @MaryLmua,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP 17.3-inch Laptop PC 17-c0000 is displaying in greyscale instead of color, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Check Color Settings:
- Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
- Scroll down and click on Advanced display settings.
- Click on Color calibration and follow the wizard to calibrate your display.
Check Graphics Settings:
- Right-click on the desktop and select Graphics Properties or Intel Graphics Settings (depending on your graphics card).
- Look for options related to color or display settings and make sure that the color settings are set to default or standard mode.
Check Accessibility Settings:
- Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Color filters.
- Ensure that color filters are turned off or set to None.
Update or Reinstall Graphics Drivers:
- Go to Device Manager (right-click the Start menu and select it).
- Expand the Display adapters section.
- Right-click on your graphics card and select Update driver. Follow the prompts to search for updated drivers.
- If updating doesn’t work, you can try uninstalling the driver and then restarting your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Check Display Cable and Connections:
- If you are using an external monitor, check the connections between the laptop and the monitor to ensure they are secure.
Restart Your Laptop:
- Sometimes a simple restart can fix display issues.
