Hello,
I have Windows 8.1 Installed on my Hp Media Center PC m7250n. I was wondering if there is a driver avalible for this because when connected to another computer, the monitor works at 1080 x 1024, but not with this computer, only 1024 x 768. If there is no driver, then is there anyway to fix this.
Thanks in advanced,
josht1

OK, thanks.
The driver I posted does not have support for the hardware ID you posted (though it has drivers for other model x300 graphics adapters).
So, back to the drawing board.
Download and save the first driver on the list.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=Legacy1&os=Windows%20Vista%20-%2064
Do the 7-zip thing to it like you did the other driver.
This time, I want to try installing the driver more directly.
This is either going to work, or you will have to purchase a different graphics card that has support for W8.1/W10.
Perhaps the nVidia GT 610 would be a suitable replacement.
Once you have extracted the AMD grapics driver into its folder, go to the device manager and click on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
Click on the driver tab, click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, but this time, at the bottom of the window, select the Let Me Pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
Click on Have Disk, and browse to the driver folder 7-zip created>$_OUTDIR>Packages>Drivers>Display>LH_INF>CL_95951 (setup information file), select the ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series Secondary graphics adapter from the list, and see if the driver installs that way.

Hi:
Try manually installing the Vista graphics driver as follows...
Download and install this free file utility. The 1st file at the top of the page is for 32 bit.
Download and save, but do not run this graphics driver
This package contains the graphics driver for the supported ATI Graphics Cards in the supported desktop models and operating systems.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp42001-42500/sp42394.exe
After you save the graphics driver, right click on it and select 7-Zip from the list of options on the menu.
Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp45261).
Once that is done, go to the device manager, click to expand the graphics adapters device manager category.
Click on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that 7-zip created.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked, and see if the driver installs that way.
Then restart the PC.

I'm not giving up just yet.
Please post the hardware ID for the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...
https://www.howtogeek.com/193798/how-to-find-drivers-for-unknown-devices-in-the-device-manager/
First I have to make sure the driver I gave you even has support for the graphics card your PC has.
I think I did based on the specs for your PC, but it doesn't hurt to double-check.
Then there is a more direct way to force install the driver that we will try next...
