HP ENVY 23-o014 All-in-One Desktop PC

I am trying to connect my laptop to my HP All-in-One Desktop (using the HDMI input) to use as a second monitor. I can see my HP All-in-One on my laptop, but I am having trouble getting the desktop switch to HDMI in.

Please any help?

The HDMI out from your laptop goes into side of the AIO at "3" as shown  in Figure 2

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04316705

There is a button under the AIO to turn on/off the HDMI

You could also project the laptop to the AIO or any smart TV at your location using WiFi but there will be lag.
