Hi @ricla,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your monitor!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
1. Check the Monitor Connection:
- Ensure that the VGA, DVI, or HDMI cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the computer.
- If using a DVI or HDMI connection, make sure the cables are undamaged and properly seated.
2. Adjust Settings on Your Monitor:
- Power off the monitor and unplug it for a few seconds, then reconnect and power it on.
- Verify monitor settings such as source input are correctly set to match the connection being used (VGA, DVI, HDMI).
3. Turn Off Monitor Auto-Select Features:
- If your monitor has an input auto-select feature, turn this feature off to prevent any miscommunication during wake cycles.
- Access this setting through the monitor’s on-screen display (OSD) menu.
4. Set Sleep Display Setting:
- Set the sleep display setting to "Black" instead of "No Signal". This can often prevent issues with waking from sleep.
- You can change this setting through the operating system’s power settings or the monitor’s menu.
5. Update Monitor Driver and Firmware:
- Check for any available driver updates for your HP 2210i monitor on the HP Support website.
- Update your monitor’s firmware if a newer version is available.
Important Safety Information:
- Ensure the power cord is grounded and connected to an outlet that is easily accessible.
- Use surge protection to safeguard your monitor against electrical spikes.
I hope this helps.
