@andlee6161,

Good Day.  A warm welcome to the HP community. I read the post regarding issues with the Freesync feature not working on the monitor. Terrific diagnosis and perfect presentation of the issue. It is appreciated greatly.

Let me gather some information for better clarity to assist you correctly:

  • Did you by updating the graphics card of the computer?
  • Is it an HP computer?
  • If it is please provide the complete model# and product# of the computer to assist you correctly.
  • Does the computer support Freesync?
  • Have you installed the latest AMD Freesync crimson drivers?

Let me keep you about a few things here. For a start, try these steps:

It requires the Freeshync crimson driver installed to work on a DisplayPort or HDMI port.

For now, try these steps:

  • Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand display adapters>then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers.
  • Check the box that states delete the software for this device.
  • Then restart the computer.

This link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06013688 is the monitor's quick setup guide.

This link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06002131 is the user manual of the monitor.

Also, enable Freesync on the monitor.

To enable FreeSync on the monitor, press the Menu button on the monitor to open the on-screen display menu. Select Color Control, select Viewing Modes, and then select Gaming-FreeSync. Refer to page 2 of the user guide.

This should fix the issue if the computer is compatible with Freesync technology.

Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as Accepted Solution as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help

Thank you and have a great day ahead.
