HP V28 4K Monitor
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a Lenovo E15 Gen 2 laptop connected to a ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock Gen 2 which has 2 1920w monitors connected through HDMI.

If I add my HP 4K monitor to the dock through DisplayPort, the resolution can't be set to 4K in Windows display settings.

I've downloaded/installed the docking station drivers and confirmed Windows recognises the monitor as an HP V28 4K monitor.

Help appreciated.

@SRD75

What is your dock and what is your Lenevo machine ?  What is HDMI version on the dock ? Please note ROT: Resolution is up refresh rate will go down and vice versa.

Can you get 4K with 30Hz or 24Hz ?

Regards.

Hi @banhien.

My computer was a Lenovo Thinkpad E15 Gen 2 AMD.

I swapped it with my Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Nano, which probably has better graphics, and it solved the problem.

Cheers.

Steev
