EW192AA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

About two years ago I bought the HP EW192AA webcam for my PC.  I had Windows 7 at the time and it worked like a charm. Never had any issues. I don't need to use the webcam often and put it away for a while. Since the last time I've used it I've since upgraded to Windows 10.

The webcam is unrecognizable in Windows 10. It will not install. HP does not list Windows 10 drivers or software to download on the EW1922AA driver page... which is frustrating because Windows 10 has been available for a couple years and still no drivers... The Windows 7 version of the install will not make it work on Windows 10.

The device appears as a CIF Single Driver Chip and does not install with Windows uses it's own driver installer either. All other drivers on my computer are up to date, the webcam is the only issue I am having. Have not been able to find any other resources online to fix it. Only thing that pops up are third party driver apps claiming to have a fix and I'm not going to fall for that crap. Was kind of hoping that HP would have a fix instead... hopefully that's not too much of a long shot.

Hello, @brianmnemonic - Hope you are well 🙂

Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a great location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

Going through your post, I understand that you are having trouble using the HP Pro Webcam on your Windows 10 machine.

This is basically a plug and play device which should install the required drivers once you connect the WebCam to the USB port of your PC. You do not have to download additional drivers to run this device. Try connecting the Web Cam to an alternate USB port and check if that works.

You can also try to connect the device to an alternate Pc and check the functionality.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Good luck 🙂
