Kind of a basic question but I'm having trouble finding definitive answers so i though i would ask here.
I'm trying to setup one the people i work with - with dual monitors for the HP EliteDesk 800 G1 DM that she works on.
I was provided a VGA splitter to VGA. I used that to connect the two split VGA to the monitors to the HP VGA port.
Both monitors are showing the desktop but in Control panel display, it only detects one monitor. The displays are just duplcated. I've tried everything i can think of to get the detect to work but it just won't see the second monitor.
I updated the driver without any change.
My questions are:
I'm assuming that the problem was that I was using a vga splitter to vga.
What cables should i be using to setup dual monitors for this PC?
Thanks!

Hello,
vga splitter just splits the actual display, you will just be able to duplicate with a splitter,
you cannot extend.s
you can use display cable and vga cable for dual monitors
