HP EliteDisplay E243m 23.8-inch Monitor webcam not working at all only just purchased. Connected to HP desktop and cant get any response to webcam. Need for Teams work

I have an HP Laptop with a webcamera, but I want to use the camera on my new hp elitedisplay e243m monitor, I cannot get my computer recognize the monitors webcam. Any advise on how to setup?

I resolved the issue you are having by connecting a USB (type B) between laptop and the monitor. The laptop recognised the monitor and camera, and gave me the option to connect.
