Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

We have issues with charging computers through USB-C with the HP EliteDisplay E273d 27-inch Docking Monitor.

 

Is there a Firmware upgrade on the way?

The 24"inch version recently got a firmware upgrade with fixes: Firmware version xxx142 corrects USB-C connect/disconnect compatibility issues.

 

Its probably the same issue with the 27" ?

Anyone got any info on this?

I am using E243d and looking to get E273d. May I know which laptop model(s) are having charging issue with E273d?

We are only having issues with computers running AMD.

HP EliteBook 745 G5 for example.

So faar were not having any issues with Intel computers.

 

New issue recenlty came up with AMD and 243d monitor, when adding a secondary screen to the dockingmonitor the secondary screen starts to blink/flicker...

We are having the exact same issue with elitebook 755 and e243d, all the most recent firmware.

  • second screen goes on and off (however this seems to have improved a lot with the newest bios 01.08.01)
  • some laptops have issues charging (often doesn't work after a reconnect). Charging using the standalone usb-c dock or a dock of an other vendor works just fine.

 

Did you find a solution?

 

update: G6 laptops do not seem to have this issue

We are waiting for AMD to update their drivers/firmwares, the issue sees to lie with them.

Since Intel arent having any problems.

 

We have the same issues with our 745 G6 aswell.

charging issue seems to be resolved on our 755 g5 laptops with bios update 01.09.01

 

Fixes an intermittent issue where the system does not rechargeproperly when the system is connected to a dock with an HP 223Dmonitor connected to the system via a USB Type-C cable.

however we are still having issues with secundary screen (only with HP monitors) losing input often on some setups...
