Hello,
I have a HP Envy beats and touchscreen laptop I believe purchased in 2015 or 2014.
I want to buy an ultrawide monitor to connect to my laptop. I have seen on other formus that my laptop probably has HMDI 1.4 features and not 2 or 2.1 so I wont be able to properly connect my laptop to an ultrawide monitor.
Can someone help on whether my laptop is compatible to connecting to such monitors?
Many thanks

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

Thank you for posting back.
After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 1 multi-format SD media card reader
1 HDMI 1 headphone/microphone combo 3 USB 3.0 (1 HP USB Boost) 1 RJ-45 installed on the PC.
That said your computer should work with HDMI external monitor.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
