Hi
Just a question if a monitor fails in 2.3 years is this acceptable? My M24F failed the other night as the power LED is pulsing with no display (OSD etc). Is it worth escalating to HP Customer services or just swallow it and buy something else? It wasn't super expensive but disappointed that it failed in such short time for a monitor anyways...
Thanks

@Foz8888, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
The average lifespan of an HP M24F monitor can vary based on several factors such as usage patterns, maintenance, and environmental conditions. Typically, monitors, including the HP M24F, have a lifespan ranging from 30,000 to 60,000 hours, which translates to roughly 10 years of use if the monitor is used for about 8 hours a day. However, this lifespan can be affected by how well the monitor is cared for and whether it is subjected to extreme conditions or improper use.
To extend the lifespan of your HP monitor, consider the following tips:
- Keep the Monitor Clean: Regularly dust the screen and ensure the ventilation slots are free from obstruction.
- Use Surge Protectors: Protect the monitor from power surges using a surge protector.
- Avoid Screen Burn-In: Use a screensaver or turn off the monitor when not in use to avoid static images causing burn-in on the screen.
- Maintain Optimal Environment: Avoid exposing the monitor to extreme temperatures and humidity.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
