Hi there. Just bought this Monitor, and it works brilliantly, EXCEPT the on-board Speakers. The Menu allows access to the Volume Control, but the bar has an 'X' at the bottom, next to the 0 Volume setting. Seems to me that this is cancelling the internal speakers. The Internal Speaker Test works fine, so it MUST be this Volume Control. How can I get rid of the 'X' ? Is it a Driver problem ? Many thanks.

Hi @SpacemanVMAX120,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP M24fwa FHD Monitor. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To assist better:
- Could you please share a picture of where you are getting the "X' regarding the speakers?
- What brand is your PC?
- Have you tried connecting the monitor to any other device to check?
While you respond to that, please go ahead and try the below steps:
- Update Windows : Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them.
- Run audio troubleshooter : Select Start > Settings > System > Sound > Troubleshoot.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
