Hey All,
All of the sudden today, my monitor stopped working. It is on, represented by the light it display when power is connected, but does not display anything. The power button doesn't turn it off and I can't see or use the menu at all.
This is weird because just yesterday it was working fine, but today after work I come to find this. I've tried unplugging it and plugging it back in with power and HDMI. Unplugging everything, "hard resetting" it or what not. Nothing has helped. Does anyone else have any ideas??

Hi @Jcharles1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP OMEN 27i monitor issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Connections:
- Ensure all cables (power, HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.) are firmly connected.
- Try using different cables if possible.
Confirm Input Source:
- Verify that the monitor is set to the correct input source (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.).
- If the menu is inaccessible, try switching inputs using the connected device settings or physically reconnecting one input source.
Restart Devices:
- Turn off your computer and monitor.
- Unplug both devices from power sources.
- Wait for a few minutes, then plug them back in and turn them on.
Test with Another Device:
- Connect the monitor to another computer or device to see if it displays anything.
- This can help identify if the problem lies with the monitor or the current setup.
Hard Reset:
- While the monitor is unplugged, press and hold the power button for 10-20 seconds. This can help discharge residual power and reset internal components.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Visit the HP OMEN 27i Monitor Support Page and check for any available firmware updates.
- Follow the instructions to update the monitor's firmware, which might resolve system issues.
Update Graphics Driver:
- Ensure your computer's graphics drivers are up-to-date.
- Visit your graphics card manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, etc.) and download the latest drivers.
Check Monitor Settings on the PC:
- Use the display settings on your PC to detect the monitor. On Windows, go to Settings > System > Display, and click Detect under Multiple displays.
- Ensure the resolution and refresh rate settings are compatible with the monitor's specifications.
Inspect Monitor Components:
- Although more technical, open the back panel and inspect for any visible damage or loose connections inside. Only attempt this if you are comfortable and knowledgeable about hardware components.
I hope this helps.
