OMEN 27i Monitor

I shutdown my computer and after starting my pc back up my monitor is now displaying "Theft Mode Enabled" with no way to open the OSD menu or disable theft mode.

I tried downloading the hp display center but it's asking me for a pin to disable theft mode. I don't remember setting up any pin and have never had to enter a pin to use this monitor before.

Does anyone know how to disable theft mode? Alternatively, does anyone know how to factory reset the monitor to set up a new pin? Like I said I have no idea what my pin is.

After much frustration I figured it out myself. You have to hold/press the menu button up (the little joystick) for 10 seconds. This resets the monitor and after it turns black and turns back on it will say "theft mode disabled".

I wish hp had simply specified this in the manual.
