Pavilion 23
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a touch 2014 HP Pavillion23, All-in-one computer. I was replacing the hardrive with a laptop hard drive and apperently the video cable, the tiny one by left bottom speaker that plugs into the dipswitch,  broke. ALSO, I have looked everwhere to find information and how to set up this werid looking dipswich.

So the 2 questions are; 1. Can I re-wire and fix the cable?

2. Is the dipswitch needed to run the comoutet? If yès, how do I find the set-up instructions?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

This sounds like hardware related issue as dipswitch connectors are mounted on to the system board. I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/

NOTE: HP does not recommend upgrading or downgrading hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product as It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance, however, you could change the configuration at your own discretion.

Please feel free to contact us here anytime you need any further assistance. Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
