Hi there,
have an old HP Pavilion Desktop - 550-203na and looking to have a DUAL MONITOR display setup and was wondering what hdmi splitter cable I would need to have an extended display on both monitors not just a duplicate display?
I have hdmi port but no DVI etc on back of PC, yes very limited - and was hoping someone could suggest a splitter that would work for above problem if it can be done?
Any suggestions welcomed, Thanks

No, you can normally use two monitors
Computers with HDMI input are most often all in one
see this, it can help you
here it is with an adapter, but it is the same principle

Hello
Can you confirm the model of the computer?
because if we upgrade the hp plug here, you should have two HDMI ports!
550-203na (ENERGY STAR) PC Product Specifications
Odense motherboard specifications.
3 HDMI: 2
so with two hdmi screens no problem

Hello, thanks for the reply, I can confirm that it is indeed a HP Pavilion Desktop - 550-203na (ENERGY STAR) and my mistake it does have a HDMI port 1 and an HDMI port 2 not just one port as mentioned.
Does having 2 HDMI ports change anything? or do I still need some sort of HDMI 1IN 2 OUT splitter extender to get a DUAL monitor setup going with the above PC?
Thanks

Managed to connect via the 2 HDMI ports and all working good now!
Don't know how but after a day of messing around the cables, some witchcraft happened and now have dual monitors working with extended display .
Thanks
