HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-xa0014
Microsoft Windows 11

Want to use as external touchscreen monitor to connect to my work laptop. Using HSMI connection to get video-works fine;  can’t get touchscreen functionality. Using ISB-A to USB-A cord for touch communications.

also try to project work laptop to HP AIO, works when work laptop is not using VPN connection. when using VPN connection get “can’t display protected source material” message.

@Mdvandyke

Its specs

It does NOT have HDMI out port. You can NOT connect it to n external monitor.  It has 2 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 2 ports but the information is blurred.

Regards.

Incorrect. My HP all in one has an HDMI in port and functions as an external monitor. I have been connecting my work laptop using hdmi cord for two years with no issues.

what I am asking about is how to use the touch screen functionality in the external monitor mode. I connected a USB -A cord but the work lap top does not detect touch screen communication.

it is my understanding that the hdmi connection only provides the video. To get touch screen need to use uSB.

any suggestions?
