Hello, I have been using an HP Pavilion Slimline s5000 desktop for work and one day i turned it on and there was no display outputting from the only video output there is on the desktop which is the mobo VGA (no graphics card in the desktop). The monitor would detect that there is a vga cable connected but no sognal so it goes into sleep mode. I tried a different monitor, and a different vga cable. I also tried taking the ram out and replacing it, removing and re-seating the CPU, unplugging all of the power supply cables and reconnecting them, taking the CMOS battery out and putting it back in, and there is still no output. No matter what I try, it seems that I can not get anything to display, not even the BIOS screen.
thanks for help!

There is the possibility that the on board graphics has failed, which is what the indication points to. Without a more complete model number, it is only generic advise, however, most motherboards have a graphics card option. A simple graphics card could be added to return the use of the PC, assuming that is what you are after.
Please find the complete model number for better help.

Thanks for the model number. That is afairly old PC, so an older graphics card. Do not try any of the newer cards as they will not work with a older PC.
