Microsoft Windows 11

After searching a number of websites, watching YouTube tutorials, following the various useless links to HP help desk. I have come to the conclusion there is no fix for the fault of the camera function. This is disappointing as the camera stopped working around 6 months after purchase.

If anyone has a link to resolve could you please share. Please DO NOT send the online helpdesk link again as I have gone around in circles with this type of info!

To clarify, the camera operates on when down, flipped up the camera goes off. Like everyone else I have reinstalled and reset the PC to factory settings.

Thank you in advance

Regards

JP

This could a simple mechanical problem -- an "on/off" switch was installed upside-down.

If the HP Warranty still is valid, contact HP Support to open a "case".

If the HP Warranty has expired, find a certified computer technician to see if the switch can be "flipped".

Or, it might be less expensive to spend $30 to purchase a stand-alone webcam.
