I have an HP envy x360 convertible 15-es2xxx and I just bought a rechargeable active pen g3. It says it is connected and the buttons work, but the screen does not register the tip. I believe this is has something to do with the fact that the pen control app shows my usi active pen rather than the g3. Is there someway to disconnect the usi pen?

Hi @SkZh,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing issues with your HP Envy x360 convertible 15 not registering the tip of your rechargeable active pen G3, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check compatibility: Ensure that the rechargeable active pen G3 is compatible with your specific model of HP Envy x360 convertible 15. You can refer to the official HP website or user manual for compatibility information.
- Confirm proper pairing: Make sure the pen is properly paired or connected to your laptop. Follow the instructions provided by HP to establish the connection. Typically, you may need to enable Bluetooth on your laptop and then pair the pen through the Bluetooth settings.
- Update drivers and firmware: Visit the HP support website and download the latest drivers and firmware updates for your laptop model. Install any available updates, including those specifically related to pen or touch input.
- Charge the pen: Ensure that the rechargeable active pen G3 is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the provided charging cable and let it charge for a sufficient amount of time.
- Restart your laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity or recognition issues. Restart your HP Envy x360 convertible 15 and see if the pen starts working afterward.
- Calibrate touch settings: Check your laptop's touch settings and calibrate the touchscreen if necessary. Go to the "Settings" or "Control Panel" on your laptop, find the touch or pen input settings, and look for calibration options.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
