Hi @Adam08 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP TouchSmart 600-1050be Desktop PC is experiencing a startup issue.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot before you consider changing the power supply:
Check the Power Connections:
- Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to both the power outlet and the PC.
- If possible, try a different power cable or outlet to rule out issues with the power source.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Disconnect the power cord from the PC.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15-30 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reconnect the power cord and try turning on the PC again.
Check for Loose Components:
- Open the PC case (if you're comfortable doing so) and make sure all internal cables and components (like RAM and hard drives) are securely connected.
- Look for any visible signs of damage or loose connections.
Inspect the Power Supply:
- If you're comfortable working with hardware, you can check the power supply unit (PSU) connections. Ensure that the cables are properly connected to the motherboard and other components.
- Consider using a PSU tester if you have one available, or swapping in a known-good power supply to see if that resolves the issue.
Listen for Beep Codes:
- If your PC has a speaker or beep codes, listen for any beeps when you try to power it on. These codes can provide clues about hardware issues.
Check the Monitor and Peripherals:
- Make sure the monitor is properly connected and turned on.
- Disconnect all peripherals (keyboard, mouse, etc.) and try turning on the PC again.
Try a Re-Boot:
- try booting the unit

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
