I don't have a dedicated graphic card, I am using the integrated intel hd 630.

The sound thing is very annoying for me, more than the resize. There is no way to remove it?

Do you have the latest drivers installed?

Or via HP downloads, but these are probably outdated:

What is the resolution you use? It's native 2560x1440 in my case.

Re: sound

As per the link I gave you can remove the sound associated with Hardware changes - so it will be without any notification going forward, but also when you plug/unplug USB hardware from Windows - but I bet you will regret few months down the line that you did so.

HP Recommended

Yes I have the latest driver installed.

Indeed I don't want to remove the sound for when I plug in a new peripheral, I just don't want that sound to play whenever I wake up the pc.

Does your monitor make that sound as well? I don't think that this sound thing and the resize thing are normal at all. I have never seen such a thing happen with any monitor I've tried.

Is this Omen 32? It does not have any speakers so cannot emit any sound?

Regarding the monitor itself: you can always reset its settings using Factory Reset option in its menu (under Management) and see if it helps.

Before you do that though: is this a new monitor that you have these troubles with? Choose Information option in its menu and check how many Backlight Hours counter shows.

HP Recommended

yes it's the 32 omen. it has 214 hours of backlight. these 2 issues showed up after i installed this new monitor, before i had a benq 24 and none of this happened.

maybe i should switch to the hdmi cable? the gpu isn't strong enough for this monitor? i have no idea, but i need to fix it otherwise i will return the monitor. the sound and the resize things are annoying

HP Recommended

Is this a new monitor, or second hand? 214 hours on the clock indicate the latter?

DId you try to reset its settings?

If you have warranty, raise this all with HP Support. Or - if you're concerned - get it returned / replaced.
