Hello,
I just want to conform if the HP USB type C-to-VGA adapter is compatible with the HP Z2 G5 SFF front type c port. I tried using it but all screen kept going off and on and display a limited functionality message. I know the port does not have ALT mode so I'm pretty sure it doesn't work but I just need to confirm.
Thanks for your support

@Olisa -- all screen kept going off and on
Do both screens "flash", or is it just the external screen that "flashes" ?
If you have incorrectly configured the external display's resolution -- example: 800 by 600 by 60 Hertz -- such that the monitor cannot operate with those settings, it is possible that the monitor will "flash".
Can you try a different monitor?

Hello,
I only connect one monitor to the display port. Once I plug in the USB c to vga adaptor (without plugging any other monitor) , the screen starts flashing with error message
The picture is just a screen grab of the video showing the monitor flickering off and on until I remove the adaptor. I don't think the port supports ALT mode.
