Hi all,
Recently my company built a brand new high end room to accommodate an operations center. Each sit stand stand desk has an HP Z640 workstation, connected to 4 brand new HP Z32i 4K monitors. The workstations have two NVIDIA Quadro graphics cards. Each card has two DisplayPort connections, so two of the monitors are plugged into each card.
When I logged in and set the preferred resolution for the users, 2560x1440, and apply it, the monitors will blink, and anywhere from 1-3 of them will not display any video. Shutting the monitor off with the power button and turning it back on doesn't work, reseating the displayport cables on either end does not work, rebooting does not work. The only thing that gets the monitors to display anything is to power cycle the monitors by physically disconnecting the power cable, waiting 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in. Once I get all the screens to work again, if I log off or reboot the workstation, only 1 monitor will come back on, and it won't be the same resolution I had last configured. In addition, I tried playing around with different resolution, going as high as 4K and all the way down to 1024x768, and no matter what resolution I use, same thing, every time there is a reboot or log off, 3 of the 4 monitors won't display any video. We are having the same issues with these Z32 monitors with Lenovo P330 Tiny Pc's with upgraded video cards, and those computers run windows 10 64 bit with Nvidia Quadro P620 video card. The Lenovos have the most update drivers installed and are having the same issues as the old HP Z640 workstations. I've done factory resets on the monitors, and disabled any power saving features they have , with no effect. At another location, we have the same Z640 workstations connected with the older version of this monitor, the Z30i, and we do have these issue. Has anyone come across anything like this?
