I found this solution on another forum and it worked for me. Hopefully this helps you guys out as well.

1. On your keyboard, press the windows logo key and R at the same time to invoke the run box.

2. Type "devmgmt.msc" and click OK.

*You could also search for Device Manager in the search"

3. Expand Display adapters and underneath could be your graphics driver.

4. Right-click the driver and select "Update driver"

5. Select the second option, "Browse my computer for driver software".

6. Then on the bottom, it should say "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer".

7. Select the version from 2015 and click Next. Your screen will auto-adjust and it should resume back to 1600x900.

Did you read all the previous, I installed the driver HP recomemnde twice, no good. Different systelm, different OS (whatever Microsoft may claim about all her free updates). Microsoft free? Since when?

I did it and again, no.

As I did it a tenfold of times already, so I enter what you suggested, but it is "monitors" on my desktop.

So I do what I already did manier times, click right on the monitor, and then what I already did and you suggested. There's only one listed, no different possible drivers. No choice. And then it states the one driver is OK. No choice.

I'm sorry to loose so much time on well meant advices from other systems where the OS is different, now I wait untill soneone suggests something appropriate. And it is working with 2 desktops, on one the advice, operate on the other.

The strange thing too is, since I switched te screens, an put them back, and strated, it only sees the (previous) PnP screen, not the HP S230tm.

And there lies the problem. Different system, different free download OS. Do I really have to repeat it always? I'm a professional.
