HP Slimline 450-A24
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello HP Community

The orginal driver are in SWSETUP/drv/graphics/Intel/InetHDGr_KKGNB2. Is a Intel 10.18.10.3993 driver and I can not use SP72017, Intel 10.18.10.4252. The error is the program failed to install one of more devices. Has any member been able to cracked this hard case.

Thank you Gentelmen & Ladies of Our Armed Forces, Godspeed

Regards Redscarlett

I don't work for or represent HP, so I cannot help you regarding the (lack of) support you get from HP.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try manually installing the graphics driver as follows...

Download and run sp72017.  Close out of any error windows.

Go to the device manager, click to expand the Display Adapters device manager category.

Click on the Intel HD graphics adapter, click on the driver tab, click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and at the bottom of the window, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Click on Have Disk, and browse to:  C:\SWSetup\sp72017\Graphics\igdlh64 and see if the driver installs that way.

Hi:

The driver file you referenced (sp72017) is only for W10.  That is probably why it isn't working on W8.1.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72017.html

There is probably a way to manually install the latest bay trail graphics driver directly from Intel but their website is not working right now (at least for me it isn't).
