HP 22 cwa display
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I think I have a 2011 imac. I was having trouble having the hp 22 cwa display.

I read about restarting the computer and then putting in the display port. I did that and it did work.

My question is will it be stable. Could I have problems in the future and just return the monitor for a different one.

@bhattara,

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

HP Monitors are not supported on a MAC, refer to "Using HP monitors on a Mac" section of this HP Article

All monitors are plug and play devices, so you should be able to use the monitor when you plug in the monitor.

However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors.

To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC.

The monitor should operate at 60Hz. The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Eagerly waiting for your response!
