I got this computer about a year ago and I use it as a computer and also as a monitor for my gaming systems. I haven't used it in a while and recently I purchased a new PS3 and when I turned on the HP input monitor port the sound was at full volume so I pressed the enter key for the menu to lower the volume but the menu never popped up I clicked every key on my keyboard and never got the menu to pop up. All the fixes I could find for the HDMI was for the output so I did the best I could on my own and ended up with still no menu and now no sound coming from the speakers for the HDMI port I still have sound from the pc port and I have the speaker set as my default In the sound control panel and don’t know what else to do. If someone could give me a fix to this or direct me another way to reach the settings for the input HDMI screen I would appreciate it.

Welcome to HP support community.
Update the Bios, chipset and audio drivers using HP Support Assistant.
Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Let me know how it goes.
