Product: HP L2245w 22-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor

I’ve just bought thisHP L2245w 22-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor and there’s a constant high pitched buzzing / squealing when it’s plugged in (whether it’s on standby or not). The only way to stop it is to remove the power source completely. What can I do about this? It’s so distracting and means I can’t work or sleep in the same room.

@Jsilv1 -- What can I do about this? 

 

Since it is brand-new, take it back to the store that sold it to you, and exchange it.

 

Or, contact HP Support, and exercise the 12-month warranty to get it repaired/replaced.

 

If you buy a defective toaster, would you take it back?  Take the same action with your monitor.
