HP Z2 Tower G9 Workstation Desktop PC (4N3U8AV)

I bought the HP Z2 G9 expecting it to come with a USB C port on the front but instead it just has some weird plug in it or something. How do I remove the plug to use the port?

Unfortunately, some features are optional.  Page 1 of the service manual mentions the following

BeemerBiker_0-1701678406153.png

there are several optional items listed on that page including a warning the image may be different.

Page 9 mentions an optional board for USB-c and pages 47 and 48 show the USB-C and SD card options

possibly this item might be what you need but it is a guess

It should be the port above the SD card reader which is optional that why it has a plastic cover.
