@Charlotte135467,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To mirror your laptop screen to your HP All-in-One Desktop PC 24-cb1000i, follow these steps:

Option 1: Using Windows Wireless Display (Miracast)

Enable Wireless Display on the Desktop

  • On your HP All-in-One, go to SettingsSystemProjecting to this PC.
  • Under Some Windows and Android devices can project to this PC, select Available everywhere (or Available everywhere on secure networks).
  • Under Ask to project to this PC, select Every time a connection is requested or your preferred option.
  • Turn ON the toggle for "This PC can be discovered for projection only when it's plugged into a power source."
  • Close the settings window.

Connect from Your Laptop

  • On your laptop, press Win + K or go to SettingsDisplayConnect to a wireless display.
  • Wait for your HP All-in-One to appear in the list and click on it.
  • Accept the connection request on your HP All-in-One if prompted.

Adjust Display Settings

  • Once connected, press Win + P and select Duplicate to mirror your screen.
  • You can also choose Extend if you want to use the HP All-in-One as a second screen.

Option 2: Using HDMI Cable (If Supported)

If your HP All-in-One has an HDMI input (not just output), you can connect your laptop via an HDMI cable:

  1. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into your laptop’s HDMI output port.
  2. Plug the other end into the HP All-in-One’s HDMI input (if available).
  3. Change the display source on your HP All-in-One to HDMI input.

Option 3: Using Remote Desktop (For Certain Uses)

If you just need to access your laptop from your HP All-in-One remotely:

  1. Enable Remote Desktop on your laptop (Settings → System → Remote Desktop).
  2. Use the Remote Desktop Connection app on your HP All-in-One to connect.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
