When I install a new video card in my p7-1447 I boot and get beeps. And new video card in the slot just beeps. The card does work in another pc. I have looked everywhere to disable the online graphics that came with the system. But, cannot find how to. Nothing in BIOS, no mention of video or southbridge disabling.
Any ideas!
Thanks, Dave

Hi, Dave:
When you install a graphics card, the onboard graphics is automatically disabled.
I believe you have a different issue which is easily remedied.
Starting with all PC's that come with W8 from the factory (such as yours), there is a secure boot setting in the BIOS which prevents the PC from booting up when some hardware is installed that did not originally come with the PC, such as the video card you are trying to install.
So...remove the video card, enable legacy mode in the BIOS, disable secure boot, and see if that resolves the issue.
