Hi all - I recently purchased a HP Z24n G2 monitor to connect to my HP Elitebook X360.
My objective is to use the monitor as the hub for all connections, i.e. use as an external monitor, and also charge laptop, connect webcam, external keyboard, other devices etc. all through the monitor USB A and C ports. However I just can't seem to get this to work!
Here's what I've done so far:
- Already enabled Power Mode to "Performance" - saw this advice on many of the troubleshooting posts over here
- Use monitor connected via HDMI rear port to HDMI laptop port - yes, my monitor works perfectly as an external setup, however none of the USB ports on the monitor hub work in this scenario, obviously
- Used the USB-C / USB-A data cable that came with the HP monitor, connecting to the monitor's USB-C rear port and USB-A on laptop, as well as vice versa (USB-A port on laptop to rear USB-C port on monitor) - no effect
I'm at a loss for what to do now. Do I need to get another cable or something?

All you need is ALSO to connect UP STREAM port to your machine.
Regards.

Hi @banhien
Thanks for helping look into this - I read through the documentation, and am still at a loss.
Re. your suggestion
All you need is ALSO to connect UP STREAM port to your machine.
Could you kindly clarify? I have already used the provided USB-C / USB-A cable to connect to the rear upstream USB C port (which I understand is the upstream), and connect to USB-A port on my laptop
Should I be doing this differently?
