I have a hp windows 11 laptop
2 hp monitors
and an hp usbc g5 dock
i am trying to use my laptop, which is my main computer, along with my two monitors. I am having a hard time trying to use both monitors.
I am able to use one monitor to connect a hdmi from the monitor to the laptop and it extends fine.
but the point is to be able to use the laptop and both monitors.
I connect the dock with a usbc to the laptop. The monitors connected to the dock with the display port.
doing this the monitors continue to say “no input signal found”
but when the dock is connect to my laptop, I have my mouse usb and headset usb connected to the dock and everything works.
can someone help me with this? I’m starting to think the dock is not compatible with the laptop
so either I need help figuring out what dock will be compatible with my laptop
or finding out what laptop would be compatible with my dock

Hi @Emily_98
You have not indicated the complete model of the device, but I think I know the problem you have a laptop that does not have a USB-C port compatible with DisplayPort and this is the reason for not working the displays.

So the model of the laptop is 14-fq0013dx
the laptop does have a usbc port to plug in a usbc cord
which the dock has usbc so I am able to connect it to the laptop perfectly fine. It just doesn’t work.
the dock I have is the Usbc g5. Are you able to recommend a dock that would work for this laptop
or recommend a laptop that would work for this dock?

Exactly, it has no USB-C port and no other DisplayPort compatible port, for this reason you cannot see the image on another display.
You only have the possibility to purchase a DisplayLink compatible dock , these dock by means of software and hardware can transmit image by the USB ports, I give you the link to consult the models and see if you can find a seller.
