HP ENVY x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys,

I have:

  • The HP envy laptop
  • HP USB-C Mini Dock
  • Dell P2715Q external 4k monitor (27inch)

In short: the problem I face is that the laptop screen works perfectly fine. But the Dell external monitor I plug in the USB-C mini dock has a maximum Hz rate of 30HZ. But I want 60Hz. I notice the external monitor now has a delay compared to thelaptop envy screen I use as well. I extend the screens and do not clone them (ofcourse).

According to the internet this setup should be able to have an external 4k screen with 60Hz? Can someone explain to me how or what's wrong?

What EXACTLY is your HP envy laptop ? How do you connect you dock to the Dell monitor ? The dock supports HDMI up to 4K but it does not say the refresh rate. Please try HDMI version 2.0 cable.

Regards.

Hi Banhien,

I have this one:

Do you have a link to an HDMI 2.0 cable? And how do I see what cable I am using now?
