@Asdfg14, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand your HP monitor is not working, and I’ll be happy to help you troubleshoot the issue.
To assist you better, please try the following steps:
Basic Troubleshooting Steps
Check Power Supply
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the wall outlet.
- Try a different power outlet or cable if available.
- Look for any LED indicator on the monitor (usually near the power button).
Verify Input Source
- Press the Input/Source button on the monitor to cycle through available inputs (HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, etc.).
- Make sure the correct input source is selected for your connected device.
Inspect Video Cable and Connections
- Ensure the video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA) is firmly connected to both the monitor and the PC.
- Try a different cable or port if possible.
Test with Another Device
- Connect the monitor to a different computer or laptop to check if it displays anything.
- If it works with another device, the issue may be with your original PC or its graphics card.
Check Brightness and Display Settings
- Make sure brightness is not turned all the way down.
- If the screen is faint or flickering, try adjusting brightness or contrast using the monitor’s on-screen menu.
Reset Monitor to Factory Defaults
- Use the monitor’s on-screen display (OSD) menu to reset settings to factory defaults.
