Product: MacBook Pro and HP27er
Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I have a MacBook Pro 2017 running on High Sierra 10.13.6 and I’m having problems with my HP 27er 27ich screen manufactured in 2018. It will not recognize the input Signal from my computer. It was having issues on and off, and if I just unconnected/reconnected it then I wouldn’t have any issues. But now it won’t work at all. Not sure if it’s a compatibility issue, software issue or hardware issue. If anyone can help, that would be great! Thanks.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

 

To get the answer to this question, HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors. To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC. The monitor should operate at 60Hz. The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment.
