I've just spent 25 mins on the phone to HP support when my call was dropped, so trying here!!
My issue is that the output to my monitor has just stopped, I get the message on my monitor of 'No DP signal from your device'.
It was working fine yesterday.
On the PC I have powered down and powered up, I've removed the power cable and held the power button for 15 seconds.

I do not have a spare DP cable to try that

Hi @michaelb104

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Here are a few steps you can follow to address the issue where your monitor displays 'No DP signal from your device':

Check Connections: Ensure that the DisplayPort (DP) cable is securely connected to both the computer and the monitor. Even though you don't have a spare cable to test, make sure there are no loose connections.

Monitor Input Source: Verify that the correct input source is selected on your monitor. Sometimes, monitors have multiple input options, such as HDMI, VGA, and DP. Make sure it's set to DP (DisplayPort).

Graphic Drivers: Ensure that your graphic drivers are up-to-date. You can go to the HP https://support.hp.com/us-en to download the latest drivers specific to your model.

BIOS Settings: Check the BIOS settings for any options related to video output that may have been changed. You can access BIOS by restarting your computer and pressing the appropriate key (often F2, F10, DEL, or ESC) during boot-up. Ensure that settings related to external displays or ports are correct.

Reset Monitor: Try resetting the monitor to factory settings. This option is often available in the monitor's menu settings.

Try a Different Port: If your computer has another DP port or an alternative connection type, such as HDMI or DVI, try connecting the monitor using that port.

System Restore: If the above steps do not work, consider performing a system restore to a point when the display was working correctly.

External Check: If possible, test the monitor with a different computer using the same DP cable and connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
