So, I bought an HP Compaq LA2205WG monitor from a friend. I intend to use it for my Google Chromecast 3rd Gen. Since the la2205wg has no HDMI port, I bought along an HDMI to VGA converter. The converter and Chromecast work just fine until an error popped up saying, "input signal out range recommended setting 1680x1050 60hz". The auto adjustment option from the monitor settings does not seem to be working at all.

Please help me get rid of that error.

What devices are you casting from?  The gen3 supports (supposedly) resolutions up to 2k (1920x1080) so that VGA should work

The casting device needs to specify the correct resolution 1680x1050 or something smaller

Thank you for your reply. Appreciate it. I am casting from 3r Gen GC. I'll go ahead and check the link that you provided and get back to you if I find something helpful.
