ProDesk 400 G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all. I'bought a PRODESK 400 G6 and installed an Nvidia Geforce 1050Ti for better graphic performances. Connected my monitor to Nvidia and all works perfectly, but it seems that the Intel UHD 630 chipset are still working. At startup Windows load all his drivers and service, and in Task Manager i can see Intel UHD present. Shouldn't it automatically disable itself when inserting a card into pci-express slot? Could they work togheter? I mean, connecting another monitor to the vga output of the UHD?

Thanks in advance.

HI;

I believe that with PC's having the Intel Kaby Lake processors and newer, both the onboard and add-on graphics adapters show up.

They are no longer disabled.

You may find some BIOS settings to disable the onboard graphics adapter or set which one should be the primary graphics adapter.

I have a Dell Optiplex 7050 business desktop with an i7-7700 processor, and there is no option in the BIOS to completely disable it, but there is one to set which video adapter is the primary one, and there is an auto setting as well.

You should be able to run a display from the onboard video's display port output.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes i have both option to disable the onboard or set the primary display. Reading here and there it seems that it is not a good thing to deactivate the onboard card, so I left everything as it is.
