Product: HP Z2 Tower G9 Workstation Desktop PC (643Q6AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
- I have a Z2 G9 Workstation with Nvidia T1000 card (4 GB).
- The machine turns on fine but display goes into standby mode intermittently. After a couple of reboots and shutdown, it starts working.
- I also have a dual monitor setup and have swapped the displays including cables (VGA & HDMI via a converter) but the issue persists.
- Updated Windows 11 along with the Graphics driver but no luck.
- Opened the case and to my surprise, the fan of the display card wasn't spinning perhaps indicating its failure to power on.
- Have been using the machine since 1.5 years but the intermittent nature of the issue is posing a major challenge to troubleshoot. For it works randomly and stops abruptly.
- Once it starts working, it will function till you power it down.
- Turning it on again is when you have to go through the whole exercise of forcing the machine to shut down through power button if display isn't working.
- Any tips/suggestions to handle this would be appreciated as it is causing loss of productivity.
