I just bought a HP 32F Monitor.
Or, a 6XJ00AA.
I was told I should get a 2.0 and on the Argos page it does state 2.0.
But it does also have docs for an LG 55" monitor so who knows?
I thought i would be able to clarify it from on the box or paperwork inside, but it doesn't.
I have done a bunch of searching and think that it might be to do with the 'option'.
It seems that there are options ABA, ABB and ABU.
I am not sure that this is what makes the difference, but I think it might.
The argos page mentions none of these options.
This HP page states 2.0 but it also says ABB.
https://store.hp.com/FranceStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=6XJ00AA&opt=ABB&sel=MTO
This HP page states 1.4, but states ABU.
https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=6XJ00AA&opt=ABU&sel=MTO&lang=en-GB
I have asked Argos and they are very nice but don't know.
They said they would come back to me, but I am wondering how to believe them when they say whatever.
Unless they tell me something that is on the monitor itself that tells me.
I can find nothing like ABB, ABU or ABA on the monitor sticker.
It does also state 6XJ00AS actually.
The box originally states ABB, the sticker on top states ABU.
So who knows what unknowing person was sticking stickers to what box and where and how and was the box right in the first place or not?
So I feel like the only way to know so that I know whether to return it or not is testing it somehow.
Actually, I just thought, can I look this up with a serial number?

Its specs
https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-32f-display
It has1 VGA; 2 HDMI 1.4 ports. Note: ABA, ABU, .... is decoded for region/country. I think a mistake when list as HDMI 2.0.

@Banhein
Thank you, but these two show 2.0.
https://store.hp.com/FranceStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=6XJ00AA&opt=ABB&sel=MTO
Is there a way to tell the difference? Which is mine?

Oh, sorry, I missed some of your reply.
so the abb, abu, aba has nothing to do with whether it has 2.0 or 1.4?
It is just a country code is it?
Are we sure about that as the box is english and originally had ABB.
So isn't there a way to actually tell?

Well, I received emails from HP.
One said 1.4, the other said 2.0.
Argos reckons it is 1.4 and are changing their website having spoke to HP.
Now another lady has told me it is absolutely definitely 2.0 over the phone.
So I have sent her the 1.4 links.
So tedious.
I thought it was a quick five minute query.
It opens up a bunch of other stuff doesn't it?
It has a 'next active input' button.
It doesn't take you to the next ACTIVE input. It takes you to the NEXT input.
But apparently the best guess is that the wording is wrong. The tech lady doesn't think it is faulty.
It is a little frustrating while you wait for it to discover that the input is inactive so that you can press it again to get to the actual next one.
Only a little thing.
Although argos also have the specs for an LG 55" tv on the 32F page durrrrr.
Oh and the manual mentions three buttons but there are four (maybe i am reading that wrong)
oh, also it mentions USB, but it doesn't have USB.
Then another little thing is it states MAx 29W, but straight out of the box it is 31.7W.
I am being told that max doesn't mean max as you might need more????
I said, but if you maximise the absolute most that a monitor can draw in all ways... isn't that the max?
Apparently not?
I misunderstand the word max it seems.
Oh, and I bought it 24th May.
Turns out my warranty started in February.
So now I have to get a receipt to forward to HP, but Argos don't allow you access to a receipt until 30 days are up.
Argos reckons HP will accept a screenshot of the first email. We shall see eh?
I mean, now I have looked into it a bit, I am not sure why a 1080p monitor would have HDMI 2.0.
I was told I should try and get 2.0 for longevity as there can be compatibility issues when connecting a 2.0 device.
