Hello. I bought an all-in-one computer a few weeks ago. However, when I press the brightness and volume buttons on the keyboard, they do not adjust the volume and brightness. I also struggle with typing accents in foreing languages on my keyboard, because they don't give me the accents that I want, and also, when I am on Zoom, even though my camera is on, my screen is black and I cannot see myself. Please help.

Hi @Toni_Dee_4,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for sharing all the details. It sounds like you're facing multiple issues with your new HP All-in-One PC. Let's tackle each one step-by-step:
1. Brightness and Volume Keys Not Working
This is often due to missing or outdated HP Hotkey Support drivers.
🔧 Fix:
- Go to Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support
- Enter your PC model and download the latest HP Hotkey Support or Keyboard drivers.
- Restart your PC after installation.
2. Accents Not Typing Correctly in Foreign Languages
This is usually a keyboard layout mismatch.
🔧 Fix:
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region.
- Under Preferred languages, click your language → Options.
- Add or switch to the correct keyboard layout (e.g., US International, French AZERTY).
- Use Alt + key or Ctrl + key combinations for accents (depends on layout).

3. Zoom Camera Shows Black Screen
This could be due to:
- Privacy shutter being closed
- Camera driver issues
- Zoom permissions
🔧 Fix:
- Check the physical camera shutter (slide it open if present).
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera → Ensure Zoom has access.
- Update camera drivers via HP Support Assistant or Device Manager.
- Test the camera in the Camera app to confirm it works outside Zoom.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
