Hello. I bought an all-in-one computer a few weeks ago. However, when I press the brightness and volume buttons on the keyboard, they do not adjust the volume and brightness. I also struggle with typing accents in foreing languages on my keyboard, because they don't give me the accents that I want, and also, when I am on Zoom, even though my camera is on, my screen is black and I cannot see myself. Please help.

Hi @Toni_Dee_4,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for sharing all the details. It sounds like you're facing multiple issues with your new HP All-in-One PC. Let's tackle each one step-by-step:

1. Brightness and Volume Keys Not Working

This is often due to missing or outdated HP Hotkey Support drivers.

🔧 Fix:

2. Accents Not Typing Correctly in Foreign Languages

This is usually a keyboard layout mismatch.

🔧 Fix:

  1. Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region.
  2. Under Preferred languages, click your language → Options.
  3. Add or switch to the correct keyboard layout (e.g., US International, French AZERTY).
  4. Use Alt + key or Ctrl + key combinations for accents (depends on layout).

3. Zoom Camera Shows Black Screen

This could be due to:

  • Privacy shutter being closed
  • Camera driver issues
  • Zoom permissions

🔧 Fix:

  1. Check the physical camera shutter (slide it open if present).
  2. Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera → Ensure Zoom has access.
  3. Update camera drivers via HP Support Assistant or Device Manager.
  4. Test the camera in the Camera app to confirm it works outside Zoom.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
