Kvm and dual monitors

I have an 8 port dual monitor vga kvm switch.  I have the 8 computers working on one monitor using the vga ports.  Can I connect the second monitor using hdmi port on my computer and connect it directly to my monitor for the second display or do I have to use the second vga output and use a vga to hmdi splitter. I have been trying to connect my 2 monitors and my computer is not detecting the second monitor at all.  Thank you/

I think you have two problems here.  

Connecting the monitor to the hdmi port on your 570-P0064 should work.  If the monitor is not recognized usually the cable quality is the problem.   I had a 4 port dual monitor KVM setup before I switched to VNC and Splashtop.  Only the VGA will switch if the HDMI port is connected to the monitor.

What model monitor?  Does it support DVI-I or VGA?  If not then you need a converter from HDMI to VGA.

A DVI-I cables has 4 pins (the cross on the left) that support analogue signal (vga) and a simple DVI-I to VGA adapter can be used.

Otherwise you need a more expensive adapter.

I assume you are using the video built into the motherboard and not a separate video card.
