TouchSmart 600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After windows 10 upgrade in PC all-in-one TouchSmart 600; every time the PC wakes from sleep mode, a low battery for keyboard warning message appears despite fact that batteries are new.   The message "form" has no way of closing other than "remind me later".

Solution: new keyboard <Logitech> purchased.  Have to say I was so tired of the ongoing false messaging I simply replaced my HP keyboard/mouse with new third party one.  Thanks all for those who responded/tried to assist.

Do you have a UPS plugged into the network or USB port? Windows 8 and later will autodetect this and add a mobile like battery check; if it's low, the computer will go to sleep. I finally tracked down a line in the event log under system - hardware that said "System going to sleep, Battery(0), reason 5" I found the information on APC's web site trying to get my Dell to quit doing this; I unplugged my UPS network cable, the icon went away, and it's been up and running Windows 10 for over 96 hours straight with no pesky sleep sessions.

I have also recently upgraded to Windows 10 and have the same problem with my Touchsmart PC.  I changed the batteries in the keyboard and the problem is still there.  It is very annoying!

No UPS; I feel issue is linked to HP code itself.  Never was an issue before Windows 10.

Keyboard low battery warning continues to appear after using fresh batteries. This is after upgrading to Windows 10.

Is there an easy way to rectify this?

Do you havge a UPS connected by USB cable? If so, check it for weak/dead batteries; this kept shutting both my wife's and my desktop.

Re: Low battery warning for keyboard will not go away

This is why I have purchased my last HP product. HP will not come out with a fix and would rather you purchase a new computer or add on hardware. Their business model is about cost cutting rather than customer retention. I'm done! I have already purchased a Mac laptop. Next will be Mac desktop. HP made it clear years ago they are not interested in the consumer side of their business model. Just threw away my HP printer and replaced it with a Epson wireless WF-3520. Best printer I have ever used. Flawless, and without issue for the past year and a half. Same with the macbook along with seemless upgrades with zero issues. Goodbye and good riddens to Hewlett Packard.
